The black Astra is shown secured behind a bright-green recovery cab in a separated roadside area. If a vehicle stops beside a fast road, Motorway Response first needs confirmation that it is away from a live lane and safe for private recovery.

Before you request help

Common questions

Can you help if I have no breakdown membership?

Yes. You can request a one-off recovery quote without an annual membership.

Do you guarantee a particular arrival time?

No. We provide an ETA only after checking a suitable operator’s location and availability. Traffic, road closures and scene safety can affect arrival.

Can you recover a vehicle that will not roll?

Often yes, but we must know whether it goes into neutral, whether the handbrake releases and whether any wheels are damaged so the correct equipment can be arranged.

Do you carry out jump starts on the motorway?

We do not offer jump starts beside live motorway traffic. Recovery or assistance can only be considered when the vehicle is in a place of relative safety and the job can be completed safely.

Who will attend my vehicle?

Your request may be completed by Motorway Response or an independent recovery operator selected for location, equipment and availability. We remain your booking contact and confirm the arrangement before dispatch.

What if I am in a live lane?

Do not wait for a private recovery quote. Keep hazards on, remain belted if you cannot safely leave the vehicle, and call 999 immediately.
